Buried in Giant Angoras

CONVENTION ENTRIES CLOSE
OCTOBER 5!

I haven’t disappeared. I’m just buried in Giant Angoras!

Between the sheer number of rabbits here and everything it takes to get ready for convention, I’ve had my head down and my hands full. We’re bringing quite a crew to Reno, and I’m especially excited that we’re scheduled for our first Chocolate Agouti Giant Angora exhibition. We plan to have at least 12 of these beautiful chocolatey goodies on display. Please come see them!

Thinking about entering convention or coming to see what it’s all about? The Angora convention mini guide (PDF) is a handy place to start finding the details.

Be sure to follow our NARBC Facebook Event page too! All the things are posted there!

I’m also cleaning house, or perhaps I should say cleaning barn. Most of my chestnuts will be looking for new homes. Keep an eye on the public classified ads at Sinfully Soft. If you’re a Village Elder, watch the private listings too.

And if you’ve been wondering what the Colored Giant Village and Village Elders are all about, come take a look. In a nutshell, we’re working together to grow the community around colored Giant Angoras. These lovely colors already exist, but often in small pockets. By sharing knowledge, breeding plans, and encouragement, we can help more people raise and enjoy them. Anyone curious about colored Giants is welcome to hop aboard!

What Does “Breeding True” Mean?

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to breed true, especially as we work with colored Giant Angoras. Is it enough to produce one beautiful rabbit, or are we building something we can produce consistently, generation after generation? I share what breeding true means to me, the questions I’m asking in my own barn, and why this work takes patience and teamwork in my new YouTube video.

Now, back to the barn. October 5 will be here before I know it!

P.S. Adorable new coloring books! Fall themed "Kindness Grows Here" & a Fiber Crafty themed "Be Kind, Create Joy"
