Let’s Lift Up the Giant Angoras!

Let’s Lift Up the Giant Angoras!

Giant Angoras have so much to offer, but they have often received less attention, fewer dedicated breeding efforts, and less representation at shows than the other Angora breeds.

With your help, this can change!

That is why we need each and every one of you to help us help the Giant Angoras. Whether you raise them, show them, work with their beautiful wool, mentor a new breeder, or simply share your excitement, you have a part in their future.

A little phrase keeps coming to mind, and perhaps a new T-shirt logo will be coming, too:

Sharing the best, breeding for better.

Together, we can grow the Giant Angora community, improve the quality of our rabbits, and make more beautiful, quality Giants available for everyone to enjoy.

Our Chocolate Agouti Exhibit Update

Kevin and I have decided to postpone our Chocolate Agouti exhibit until Angora Nationals next spring.

Unexpected things in the rabbitry left us struggling to put together the 12 exhibit animals we wanted to bring. To make it happen, we would have needed to bring several of our special “unicorns” that I had planned to keep home.

This journey has taught me two lessons: keep your favorites home making more, and always have more than you need! I was considering breaking both of those rules.

So we are stepping back, regrouping, and going full speed ahead with Plan B! Our special rabbits will stay home and be busy helping us build the next generation. 🤎

The Excitement Continues!

There will still be beautiful Giant Angora colors coming to Reno! Come see them, visit with breeders, and discover what we are working toward together.

There are also a few Giant Angoras available! If you’re looking to get started or add to your rabbitry, take a look at the Village Elders’ public rabbit listings on Sinfully Soft.

Come Join Our Village!

The Village Elders also have a private Classified Ads page, available exclusively to members. It’s another way to connect within our Colored Giant Village and see what fellow members have available.

Want to learn how you can join our Village Elders? We’d love to have you!

Angora Royality Cards

Hello, my Angora friends! After months of designing, revising, proofing, waiting, and trying not to drive myself crazy, the Angora Royalty playing cards are finally here! Two big, heavy boxes arrived at my door, and I could hardly believe I was holding real, professionally printed decks in my hands. Each suit celebrates a different Angora breed. The diamonds feature Satin Angoras, the clubs feature Chestnut Giant Angoras, the hearts feature English Angoras, and the spades feature French...
